Beka Joy

My sister taught me everything I really need to know, and she was only in sixth grade at the time.  ~Linda Sunshine

Yeah, that's really how it is.  This is my little sister, Bek.  She's five years my Jr. and five years my spiritual Sr. :)  She was always jealous of me growing up, and them SUDDENLY she had no need to be anymore!!!  No, in all seriousness, she's a wonderful little sis, and I love her dearly.

"Lis, my nose looks HUH-UUUUGE!!!  We just can't do this anymore.  And my FEET.  Just LOOK at 'em!  Okay, we're DONE."

"Big sisters are the crab grass in the lawn of life!"  (~Charles M. Schulz)

"That may be true, Bek, but YOU are young and you think the world is all pink things and butterflies.  So keep pulling on this crab grass.  I'm not budging."
"Now Lis, You can kid the world.  But not your sister.  You think the world is a fairytale.  So stop telling me what I don't know."

(This is a excerpt from conversations we have!)

Everywhere in the world, music enhances a hall, with one exception: Carnegie Hall enhances the music. -Isaac Stearn

And heck yeah, Bek would love to play at Carnegie Hall.  In fact, she loves music.  She loves her guitar.  She loves to sing.  She L.O.V.E.S music.  Make no mistake.  She loves it.

She used to be lazy and annoying.  Now she's superwoman and annoying.  BUT, the thing is, she's annoying in an extremely positive, encouraging way.  So we deal with it. ;)

This is the picture that best expresses Rebekah.  Sweet.  Only it was blurry.  And the brilliant photographer only caught ONE shot of it.  I know, that was pretty unacceptable.  So blurry it will be.

On a sidenote, don't ever be fooled.  Sweet Rebekah walked away from Appleseed with a badge of honor for completing her marksmanship with honors.  Yesssiiirrry.  The little woman can shoot a gun.

She also has long conversations in her sleep.  I've recorded them.  She will love me again when she's fifty.

And that, ladies and gentleman, is my sis.

Yours,
Lis

Bek: "Lis, how do you spell CD?"

Hahahahahaha!!!

  1. Oh, Rebekah! I can totally hear her saying that "my nose, my feet, ah! We're DONE!" lol.

The picture you chose that's "her" is so spot on.

And the excerpt from your conversation...yeah, Ori & I totally have convo's like that-
"You can kid the whole world, but not me. So stop telling me what I don't know!"

    I love you two!
