When My Day Doesn't Go As Planned....

....I simply get rid of the plan.  I did hand it to God in the first place, right? :)

My plan today was to get up, do my workout, devotions, shower, some pre-college stuff, breakfast with the family, devotions with the family, work with Liberty on her math facts, go work on Endemeo stuff for a couple hours, work for Papa for a couple hours, more college prep stuff, digitize a hundred or so old pictures, practice with Caleb and Rebekah on some new music, have supper, POSSIBLY go fix my social security, return some stuff, and check on an upright bass at a store in Campbellsville, do evening devotions, enjoy my family, go to VOLLEYBALL!!!!.  Yeah.

My day went like this....  It took forever for everyone to get to breakfast.  I missed my morning workout, but did a little devotions.  Breakfast and devotions lasted for over two hours.  I did a fifteen minute workout.  I helped Liberty.  Endemeo work took four hours.  Mama ended up needing to get out for awhile, so I offered to watch the chillens.... Mama's do need a little time too. :)  BUT this means that I didn't get anything else done.

The moral to my story...time management is great.  But it can't be a god.  It's all FOR God anyway, so if he brings things along that makes plans go left, GO LEFT.  There's tomorrow to get college prep stuff done and digitize the pictures that are cluttering my office, and practice with Beck and Cay, and heaven knows social security can wait, and returns won't go anywhere either.  Basses are always around too.  And my friends are just going to have to understand.  Ahhhh.  I wish I could say it's COMPLETELY relieving...it's not.  But it does feel better knowing that my HEART was right.  Amen?

We read Proverbs 19 today and verse 21 stuck out to me:

Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.

I don't think that means that God doesn't let us do stupid things, but that when our HEARTS are for him, and to do his will, his plans will prevail even when ours fall through.

So I can be okay with my day. Maybe tomorrow will have some more awesome curve balls.  Nothing like being able to roll with the punches!!! :)

On the flipside,
Lisss

PPPPPSSSSSSS!!!!!  It skipped spring and went straight to summer in southern KY.  I love it.
